Kentucky Oaks Results 2024: Winner, Payouts and Order of Finish

There was no catching Thorpedo Anna at the 150th Longines Kentucky Oaks.

Thorpedo Anna pulled into an early lead that she maintained throughout the race to claim the garland of lilies on a rainy Friday afternoon at Churchill Downs.

She was trained by Kenny McPeek, a three-time runner-up at the event, and jockey Brian Hernandez Jr., who was competing in the race for the sixth time in his career.

This marked the 150th iteration of the event, where female horses race the Friday before the Kentucky Derby.

Ways and Means spent the first half of the race threatening to take Thorpedo Anna's spot.

Thorpedo Anna held steady, and Ways and Means fell back as Just F Y I and Regulatory Risks pulled ahead late.

The race was missing Tapit Jenallie, a filly withdrawn Thursday due to a "minor injury," per Nicole Russo of Daily Racing Form. Our Pretty Woman took her place.
