Denver Nuggets center Nikola Jokić offered strong praise for Minnesota Timberwolves guard Anthony Edwards in advance of their highly anticipated Western Conference semifinals series.

Nikola Jokic on Anthony Edwards: "He's amazing. He's a really dangerous player. He's a really talented player who can do everything, who has everything in his aresenal. He's actually a really funny guy to be around. Hopefully we're going to have some fun too." pic.twitter.com/F36ZzDIAkK

It's hard to argue anything Jokić said.

For starters, the 22-year-old Edwards is already a two-time All-Star in his four NBA seasons. He just averaged 25.9 points, 5.4 assists and 5.1 rebounds for a 56-26 Timberwolves team that finished third in the Western Conference standings.

The ex-Georgia star has turned it up a notch in the playoffs, though, averaging 31.0 PPG in his team's first-round sweep of the Phoenix Suns. Edwards notably closed out the Suns with 36- and 40-point performances in Games 3 and 4.

Edwards is also hilarious, enough so that B/R once put together a five-minute reel of his best moments.

Edwards' time as the face of the NBA could be coming quite soon. For now, though, Jokić and the Nuggets and Edwards and the Timberwolves will battle in a potentially classic series beginning Saturday at 7 p.m. ET in Denver.
