A Brand New ‘Star Wars’ Show Lands On Disney Plus Today

Following

Happy Star Wars Day! It’s May the 4th, which is always a big day for Star Wars fans, and this year we’re getting a brand new Disney Plus series set in a galaxy far, far away.

Star Wars: Tales Of The Empire is a new animated TV show that focuses on the darker side of the Force. The story focuses on two characters: First, on a young Morgan Elsbeth (a witch who we last saw in Ahsoka) as she finds her destiny.

The second half of the series follows former Jedi, Barriss Offee, as she’s recruited by the Empire. Here’s the trailer:

This is only a six-part series, and the episodes are very short, ranging from 13 to 17 minutes with credits. You can easily knock this out in a day.

If you’re on Hulu, meanwhile, the first season of Star Wars: Visions is now available to stream. It’s a truly unique series of short films all made by anime studios. Very cool stuff.
