WWE WrestleMania 41 Announced for Las Vegas Following Rumors on Location and Dates

After weeks of speculation, WWE has finally announced WrestleMania 41 will be held in Las Vegas.

The company confirmed Allegiant Stadium as the host site for the event on Saturday, as well as announcing it will take place from April 19-20.

Fightful Select (h/t Felix Upton of Ringside News) reported last July that Minneapolis was being "heavily discussed" within WWE as the host city for WrestleMania 41, with some considering it "likely" to happen.

WWE traditionally likes to announce the site for WrestleMania at least one year in advance, so it was surprising when WrestleMania 40 ended with no indication of where the 2025 event would be held.

Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter (h/t WrestleTalk) reported on April 26 that Las Vegas was considered the frontrunner for WrestleMania 41, with May 3 and 4 cited as potential dates for the show.

During a fan event on X Spaces on Tuesday (h/t Bill Pritchard of WrestleZone), WWE COO Triple H was asked about the WrestleMania location.

"Well, everybody is always excited to know where WrestleMania is going to be. WrestleMania 41 announcement is coming very, very soon, I promise that. Very, very soon," Triple H said.

In addition to the site of WrestleMania 41, the dates for the show became a focal point recently.

On a panel for the Sports Business Journal's World Congress of Sports conference, WWE president Nick Khan said the company didn't want to put the show head-to-head with the NCAA basketball tournament Final Four games.

WrestleMania has bounced around the schedule over the years, but recently it has been held during the first weekend in April.

The only time it was outside that window in the past six years was WrestleMania 37 when it was held on April 10-11, 2021. That is also the latest date on the calendar WrestleMania has ever happened, beating the previous mark by three days (WrestleMania 34 on April 8, 2018).

This is the second major WWE premium live event that will be held at Allegiant Stadium. The first was SummerSlam 2021 headlined by Roman Reigns successfully defending the WWE universal championship against John Cena.

WWE noted the attendance of 51,326 fans for the show was the largest indoor attendance record for any SummerSlam.

Allegiant Stadium has a capacity of 65,000 fans for football games, though that could expand for wrestling events depending on the size of the stage.

Lincoln Financial Field, site of WrestleMania 40, has a capacity of 67,594 for football games. WWE announced a two-night total of 145,298 fans for the event.

WrestleMania 41 will mark the first WrestleMania to be held in Las Vegas since 1993. That was the infamous show from Caesars Palace in which the announcers wore togas and Hulk Hogan won the WWE championship in an impromptu match with Yokozuna, who just defeated Bret Hart for the title.
