Rumors surrounding the couple started getting intense in February 2022, when The Mirror reported that Tom and Zendaya bought their first home together in London. According to the report, the couple had bought a 6-bedroom home in South West London, including a gym, movie theater, and a man cave. The UK-based outlet revealed that the pair visited Tom's hometown in January to visit his parents and collect the keys to their new home—except, a few weeks later, the Romeo + Juliet actor debunked the rumor altogether.

More than a year after Tom cleared up rumored reports that he and Zendaya had bought a home together, it was Z's turn to be the bearer of bad news for Tomdaya fans after she posted a pic to her Instagram Stories showing off her cozy 'fit in the reflection of her car's window. Ofc, the reflection made it look like the Bulgari ambassador was rocking a ring on that finger, which naturally caused fans to spiral over a potential engagement.

The Challengers star took to her Instagram Stories to clear up the entire sitch, saying, "I can't post anything, you guys. You think that's how I would drop the news?" She continued through laughter, "I posted it for my hat, not for the ring on my right finger, you guys, seriously."

According to the FauxMoi subreddit, Z's assistant Darnell also confirmed that she wasn't engaged during an Instagram Live. "No, absolutely not. No," he said while answering fans' questions about whether she was engaged. "Zendaya is not engaged, okay? So leave people alone."

The latest addition to the saga? That'd be a report from People where a source dished about the couple's alleged convos surrounding marriage. "There has been talk of marriage, and that is a reality," the insider revealed.

"They are not the kind of stars who put their lives together out there on social media for the most part," they continued, adding that because "Both are private," attention in the public eye "has never been easy or comfortable for either of them." While neither Tom nor Zendaya's reps commented on People's report, the insider added that "work is important to both [actors] and that keeps them busy now."
