Anthony Edwards isn't a fan of the comparisons that have been made between himself and Chicago Bulls legend Michael Jordan.

"I want it to stop," the Minnesota Timberwolves star told Melissa Rohlin of FOX Sports. "He's the greatest of all time. I can't be compared to him."

With his high-flying dunks and impressive mid-range footwork, Edwards has reminded fans of Jordan although he doesn't believe that he can ever surpass the man that's considered by many to be the greatest of all time.

"It's just not possible," Edwards said, per Rohlin.

Comparisons from fans are one thing, but analysts and players alike have brought up the similarities between Edwards and the six-time champion.

When asked about a comparison for the 22-year-old, Timberwolves guard Mike Conley told Inside the NBA on Wednesday that his teammate reminds him of a young Jordan.

"I think a young Michael Jordan, bro honestly," Conley said. "He's unbelievable. I think more than anything with him has been his mentality. I've never met a guy or been a teammate with a guy who believes more in himself than Anthony Edwards."

Jordan himself has confirmed that there are similarities between the playing style and on-court demeanor between the two, according to FOX Sports' Chris Broussard.

"I reached out to the GOAT today, Michael Jordan," Broussard said on March 19 during FS1's First Things First. "And Jordan said there are similarities in their games. He agreed. So, if Jordan says there are similarities, there are similarities."

Similar to Jordan, Edwards has continuously stepped up his game in the playoffs. While his regular-season averages of 25.9 points and 5.4 rebounds each night on 46.1/35.7/83.6 shooting splits were already impressive, he's improved even further in the postseason.

In five playoff games, Edwards is averaging 33.4 points and 7.8 rebounds per game while shooting 53.2 percent from the field and 43.6 percent from behind the arc. The Timberwolves are currently 5-0 in the postseason this year.

However, Edwards clearly wants to distance himself from comparisons to Jordan and focus on the team's current playoff run.
