Delta is launching nonstop seasonal service to a Central American destination in 2025

The service begins on Jan. 11, 2025.

A Delta Airlines Boeing 757 took off in Tampa, Fla., in 2011.

Bostonians can escape the cold for the rainforests and beaches of a Central American hotspot this winter on Delta Air Lines.

The Atlanta-based airline recently announced a new seasonal, nonstop service between Boston and Liberia, Costa Rica. Costa Rica was named the 2024 destination of the year by Travel + Leisure magazine.

“This new service will provide Delta customers in Boston direct access to the lush rainforests, majestic volcanoes, and stunning beaches of Costa Rica’s Guanacaste province,” a Delta representative told Boston.com via email.

Flights to Liberia, Costa Rica will operate on Saturdays from Jan.11 through April 13 on the carrier’s Airbus A321neo, which made its debut in Boston in 2022 and carries 194 customers and features domestic first-class recliners.
