Colts' Jim Irsay Teases 2024 NFL Schedule Release Date Will Be 'Soon'

Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay hinted the NFL's 2024 schedule should be coming "soon."

Irsay sent out a post on X that should excite NFL fans on Tuesday:

The NFL has yet to make an announcement regarding the release of the 2024 schedule. If the league follows a similar announcement pattern to last year, we could see a release as soon as Thursday.

Over the past three years, the NFL has released its schedule on the second Thursday in May.

Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk reported "signs point" to next week being the most likely for a full schedule release. Florio theorized the league may be attempting to time the announcement around television upfronts, which are slated for next week.

If the NFL follows the Thursday theme from previous years, May 16 would be the most logical date.

That said, Irsay's tweet indicates the league may have an announcement on the date coming sooner than later.
