Ahead of his July 20 fight against Jake Paul, legendary heavyweight boxer Mike Tyson provided some insight into his unique preparations.

During an appearance on the Damon Elliott Show, the 57-year-old Tyson said eating raw meat has helped him get in great shape for the bout:

When Tyson and the 27-year-old Paul clash at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, it will mark Tyson's first official, non-exhibition boxing match since 2005.

It was initially thought that the fight, which will stream live on Netflix, would be an exhibition, but that changed last month when the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulations decided to sanction it.

While sanctioned, the fight will have unique rules compared to most professional boxing matches, as there will be eight two-minute rounds and the boxers will use 14-ounce gloves.

Although Tyson is nearing 60 years of age and hasn't had an official fight in nearly 20 years, he is one of the all-time greats in the heavyweight division with a 50-6 career record and 44 wins by way of knockout.

The former WBA, WBC, IBF, and The Ring heavyweight champion has the clear edge over Paul in terms of experience and accolades, but Paul is 30 years his junior.

Also, Paul is a fighter on the rise with a career record of 9-1, including six victories via knockout.

His level of competition has often been called into question, but he has beaten several former UFC stars in Ben Askren, Tyron Woodley, Anderson Silva and Nate Diaz, plus his past two bouts were decisive wins over boxers in Andre August and Ryan Bourland.

August and Bourland are little-known boxers, especially when compared to an all-time great like Tyson. Tyson undoubtedly represents Paul's biggest test yet, even with the significant age discrepancy.
