The Seahawks are again in the market for a third quarterback after waiving rookie Chevan Cordeiro on Wednesday.

Cordeiro, of San Jose State, signed last week as an undrafted rookie free agent and took part in the team’s rookie minicamp last weekend. He was the only other QB on the 90-man roster besides veterans Geno Smith and Sam Howell.

Maryland’s Taulia Tagovailoa and Kory Curtis of Division II Gannon University also participated in rookie minicamp as tryout players but were not signed to contracts.

A report from the NFL Network on Tuesday stated that Tagovailoa will take part in Arizona’s rookie minicamp this weekend — teams can either hold their rookie minicamps last weekend or this weekend.

It was not immediately clear if the Seahawks have their sights set on another QB to sign or will just go with two.

The Seahawks begin Organized Team Activities on May 20 when they can first have workouts in which the offense can go against the defense in 11-on-11 drills.

Cordeiro was a first-team All-Mountain West QB last season when he also became the all-time MWC leader in career touchdowns responsible for (113), total yardage (13,811) and completions (971) in a career that began at Hawaii from 2018-21 before he transferred to San Jose State for his final two seasons.

Cordeiro’s waiving leaves the Seahawks with two open spots on their 90-man roster.Â
