Remains of Vermont man who went missing last year found in New Hampshire

The remains of Devin Whitham, 38, were found in a wooded area in New Boston.

The remains of a Vermont man who went missing last April have been found in New Hampshire, according to authorities.

Devin Whitham, 38, of Saxtons River, Vt., was reported to be missing and endangered last April due to his mental health. On April 26 of this year, a “shed hunter” found skeletal remains in a wooded area of Francestown Road in New Boston, N.H,, which have since been identified as belonging to Whitman, police said.

According to police, Whitham’s car was found abandoned at Lang Station along the New Boston rail trail on April 24, 2023.

“Over the following days, weeks, and months, the area was extensively searched by members of the New Boston Police Department, NH State Police, NH Fish & Game, countless volunteers, multiple canine search teams, and Devin’s family and friends,” police said.
