A child was killed in a shooting Wednesday evening in Seattle’s Magnolia neighborhood, according to the Seattle Police Department.
Police and Seattle Fire Department crews responded to the shooting in the 3000 block of 21st Avenue West around 6:30 p.m., police spokesperson Officer Eric Muñoz wrote in an SPD Blotter post. A woman reported her child had been shot.
The child died at the scene. Detectives interviewed two people, Muñoz wrote.
Police did not say whether they expected to book anyone into jail or refer charges to prosecutors.
