Frank Sinatra Dominates One Chart, Outshining Many Other Legends

Following

Frank Sinatra may be gone, but he is still a force to be reckoned with on the charts. The crooner’s music is incredibly popular in the U.S. with certain audiences, and that’s reflected by his current performance on one tally that he never disappears from entirely.

On this week’s Jazz Albums chart, Billboard’s ranking of the top-consumed full-lengths in the genre, Sinatra is king. He may not appear at No. 1, but he occupies more spaces on the tally than any other musician, even managing to outpace several other superstars in the field.

Sinatra claims four spaces on this week’s Jazz Albums chart. The list only features 25 rungs, so he controls 16% of the entire list. Another contemporary talent is close to matching his showing, but this time around, nobody can compete with the legend in this way.

The singer’s two highest-ranking titles are steady from where they sat last week. Ultimate Sinatra and Nothing But The Best are non-movers at Nos. 2 and 6, respectively.

Another compilation, titled simply Platinum, is up slightly this frame on the Jazz Albums chart. The set advances from No. 25–last place–to No. 21.

Coincidentally, Sinatra pushes another title onto the Jazz Albums tally at No. 25, where Platinum sat last week. Sinatra: Best of the Best reappears in the final spot on the roster this frame, returning to the ranking for its seventy-seventh nonconsecutive stint.

On this week’s Jazz Albums chart, Laufey comes in second place when looking at which musicians fill the most spaces. Her Bewitched is steady at No. 1 following the deluxe edition dropping, which helped its sales sum increase by well over 100%. She also manages to fill two other spaces with older collections. Norah Jones claims a pair of rungs this frame, coming in third among all acts.
