The Washington Commanders will have to wait to see how Jer’Zhan Newton fits into their defense.

The NFL draft’s 36th pick, who goes by “Johnny,” will soon have surgery on his left foot to correct the same issue he just recovered from in his right foot, Coach Dan Quinn said Saturday before the second day of rookie minicamp.
