Today: Patchy fog, then mostly sunny. Highs: 73 to 77.

Tonight: Partly cloudy. Lows: 53 to 61.

Tomorrow: A few showers, maybe a thunderstorm. Highs: 67 to 73.

We have to deal with two slow-moving storm systems this week, each of which could bring two to three days of intermittent showers and storms. Today may end up as the only day that is completely rain-free. Despite all of the clouds and rain, temperature should be near or even slightly above normal.

Today (Monday): After some patchy fog early on, mostly sunny skies prevail and it’s quite a nice day. Highs should reach the mid- to upper 70s with lights winds from the south at around 5 to 10 mph. Confidence: Medium-High

Tonight: It’s rather mild as clouds slowly increase overnight. Lows range from the low to mid-50s in our cooler areas to near 60 downtown. Confidence: Medium-High

Tomorrow (Tuesday): The week’s first storm system approaches from the west bringing the chance of scattered showers and storms, some of which could produce heavy downpours, particularly in the afternoon. It’s not an all-day rain, and there may be some limited intervals of sunshine. Highs are within a few degrees of 70 in most spots. Confidence: Medium-High

Tomorrow night: Scattered showers and storms remain a possibility overnight. Lows range from 60 to 65. Confidence: Medium-High

Wednesday brings more showers and storms, which may again be numerous and heavy in the afternoon and evening. Highs range from 70 to 75. The chance of rain should gradually diminish at night with lows in the upper 50s and low 60s. Confidence: Medium-High

Thursday may offer a bit of break between storm systems, but it’s possible it remains cloudier than not and we may not be able to totally shake shower chances. It’s a little milder with highs in the mid- to upper 70s. Partly cloudy at night, with lows from the mid-50s to low 60s. Confidence: Medium

Clouds increase again Friday with a chance of scattered showers and storms in the afternoon. It’s warm with highs 75 to 80. Showers and storms remain possible Friday night with lows from around 60 to 65. Confidence: Medium

The weekend forecast is a tough call right now. The European model predicts a slow-moving storm system will bring clouds and intermittent rain for much of the weekend, whereas the American model scoots Friday’s storm to our northeast by midday Saturday allowing for clearing and mostly dry weather Saturday afternoon through Sunday. It’s premature for us to commit to a forecast but we would lean wetter Saturday with the possibility of drying out Sunday. Highs both days should be in the 70s with lows near 60. Confidence: Low
