NFL Rumors: Dolphins vs. Packers to Play on Thanksgiving Night for 2024 Schedule

The Miami Dolphins will travel to face the Green Bay Packers for a Thanksgiving night game this fall, The Athletic's Matt Schneidman reported.
Kickoff will be scheduled for Nov. 28 at 7:20 p.m. CT, per Schneidman.
The Packers earned an upset 29-22 victory in last season's Thanksgiving Day road game against the Detroit Lions.
Now quarterback Jordan Love will look to lead Green Bay to another holiday win against one of the top teams in the AFC.
The Packers and Dolphins have not played since 2022, when Aaron Rodgers led Green Bay to victory over Miami and quarterback Tua Tagovailoa.
Two years later, Tagovailoa represents a bigger challenge for the Packers' defense than ever.
He is coming out of a 2023 Pro Bowl campaign during which he led the NFL with 4,624 passing yards, and the Dolphins have brought back one of the best receiving duos in the NFL in Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle for him to target. Miami also signed Odell Beckham Jr. in the offseason.
This combination will seek to earn the Dolphins their first victory over the Packers in 14 years. Miami most recently defeated Green Bay in 2010 and are 0-3 in these team's last three regular-season matchups.
The Packers are meanwhile heading into a second season with Love as the team's full-time starter.
After struggling with pass accuracy during the first half of the 2023 season, Love settled into his role to top 4,000 passing yards in his first season taking over for Rodgers. He should be even more of a threat in 2024 with newly-signed running back Josh Jacobs joining the Green Bay backfield.
Prior to the contest between the Dolphins and the Packers, the New York Giants will take on the Dallas Cowboys in a Thanksgiving Day matchup, per Paul Schwartz of the New York Post.
Previous reports have indicated the Chicago Bears will also face the Detroit Lions on during the holiday.
The Thanksgiving night game is the second is what is set to be a busy week against two contenders for the Packers.
The Packers will take on the defending NFC Champion San Francisco 49ers during a home afternoon game on Nov. 24, according to Schneidman. That will give Green Bay just three days of rest between facing two of the toughest opponents of the season.
