Center Kyle Filipowski measured in at the 2024 NBA Draft Combine this week following a strong collegiate career at Duke.

According to NBA.com, Filipowski's measurables taken at the combine are as follows:

  • Height w/o Shoes: 6'10.75"
  • Standing Reach: 8'11"
  • Weight: 229.8 pounds
  • Wingspan: 6'10.5"
  • Hand Length: 8.75"
  • Hand Width: 9.5"

While Filipowski has excellent size, he is also something of an anomaly in that his wingspan was less than his height.

Per Adam Bushman of Jabber Jazz, Filipowski was the only player at the combine to fit into that category:

Of the 77 players with officially posted measurements from the 2024 NBA combine, Kyle Filipowski is the only player with negative length (wingspan - height)<br><br>Height: 6'10.75"<br>Wingspan: 6'10.5"<br>Length: -0.25"

Still, Filipowski was the seventh-tallest player at the combine, which suggests he will be able to have success in the paint at the next level.

Then 20-year-old Filipowski was the ACC Rookie of the Year and ACC tournament MVP in 2023, and he followed it up with another strong year in 2024, earning All-ACC First Team and consensus second-team All-American honors.

The center originally from Westtown, New York, averaged 15.1 points, 9.0 rebounds, 1.6 assists, 1.3 steals and 1.0 three-pointer made per game as a freshman, while shooting 44.1 percent from the field and 28.2 percent from beyond the arc.

Filipowski was far more efficient as a sophomore, averaging 16.4 points, 8.3 rebounds, 2.8 assists, 1.5 blocks, 1.1 steals and 1.1 three-pointers made, and shooting 50.5 percent from the floor and 34.8 percent from deep.

The 2024 NBA draft class isn't viewed as a great one in terms of top-end talent, so Filipowski's college production could help him significantly in terms of solidifying his draft status.

In his latest 2024 NBA mock draft released this week, Bleacher Report's Jonathan Wasserman projected that Filipowski will go 19th overall to the Toronto Raptors.

Any team picking from the late lottery into the 20s in search of size and scoring ability could be in the market for Filipowski, who may not develop into a star but should stand a strong chance of at least being a solid contributor and rotational player in the NBA.
