Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams will make his NFL debut at home against the Tennessee Titans, NFL insider Jordan Schultz reported on Wednesday.

The former USC standout and top pick in the 2024 NFL Draft is slated to get the start in Week 1 with a revamped receiving corps that features Keenan Allen and Rome Odunze alongside DJ Moore.

The Bears have also brought in D'Andre Swift to fortify their backfield, while Cole Kmet and Gerald Everett are set to pair up as one of the strongest tight end duos in the NFL.

Chicago is also bringing back Pro Bowl cornerback Jaylon Johnson to a roster that has them set to become one of the NFL's most improved teams in 2024.

These two teams last met in 2020. The Titans won, 24-17.

Tennessee will head into this next matchup with some uncertainty surrounding their quarterback position as 2023 second-round pick Will Levis could be set to earn the first Week 1 start of his career.

The game at Chicago will present a major test for Levis as he works to establish himself as QB1.

That doesn't mean Tennessee will present an easy path to victory for Chicago. A Titans wide receiver room led by Calvin Ridley, DeAndre Hopkins and Tyler Boyd will present a difficult test for the Bears' secondary.

After winning the Heisman Trophy by topping 4,500 passing yards for USC in 2022, Williams added another 3,000 yards on a career-high passing rate of 68.6 percent before declaring for the 2024 NFL Draft.

The Bears then used their first No. 1 pick since 1947 to make him their next franchise quarterback.

That leaves both Williams and Levis with plenty to prove when they begin the 2024 season this fall at Soldier Field.
