Bronny James Scores 13 in NBA Draft Combine Scrimmage with LeBron, Lakers GM Watching
May 15, 2024After a nondescript showing in his first scrimmage at the NBA Draft Combine on Tuesday, Bronny James managed to bounce back in his second chance on Wednesday.
James looked more comfortable on the floor on his way to finishing with a team-high 13 points in 23 minutes for Team St. Andrews in a 90-83 win against Team Love. The youngster performed well with his legendary father, Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James, in attendance along with Lakers general manager Rob Pelinka.
James played off the ball more frequently on Wednesday, allowing him to get more catch-and-shoot opportunities. While he had some areas to improve like his turnovers and shooting efficiency (4-of-10), he showed confidence in attacking the rim and fighting through contact.
James' improvement came after he was limited to four points and four rebounds in Tuesday's scrimmage.
Fans on social media had good things to say about the 19-year-old during Wednesday's contest:

There's still time for James to decide whether he wants to stay in the draft or return to college, as the deadline is May 29.
Whatever he decides, James surely is having a beneficial experience at the combine as he tries to gauge his skills against other prospects.
