We knew after the finish to 2022 and the magical ride that was the 2023 season, the Detroit Lions were likely going to be one of the teams that the NFL decided to feature in the upcoming 2024 season. Well, turns out we were correct in that assessment.

The Lions have a whopping nine nationally televised games, including four in a seven-game span. On top of that, they play in the primetime slot on five separate occasions as well. Truly an incredible slate for a team that not long ago almost always played at 1 p.m. ET on Sundays.

Meko Scott and I broke down our way-too-early thoughts on the Lions’ schedule over on the Pride of Detroit YouTube Channel.

We talked about how excited we are for all of the games the Lions will be in the national spotlight, as well as how getting off to a strong start in the first four weeks is going to be key for the Lions to starting 2024 on the right foot.

Beyond that, we touched on how much we hate the Lions’ early bye in Week 5, and how a 10-day break in December may provide a bit of relief down the final stretch of the regular season. We conclude by talking which games we are most looking forward to, and which stretch of games might end up being the toughest for the team.

It was a really fun discussion, and I already can’t wait for the fall to get here. Not that I am wishing summer away.

Or am I..?

As always, please be sure to like and subscribe over at the Pride of Detroit YouTube Channel. It truly means a lot to us and helps the channel grow as we inch closer and closer to training camp.
