It’s the start of the second week in Dannii Minogue’s gay girls paradise. Newbies Thea and Hannah are causing quite the stir, Amy is making more than one head spin, there’s a “slut-dropping” workout, a double date and things get particularly steamy during the Behind Closed Doors chemistry test. “Let’s indict these assholes!” If the multiple plot threads and time jumps can make this drama about the US opioid crisis tricky to parse, some devastating performances give it emotional heft. As the final double bill opens, it looks as if Oxy pushers Purdue may finally face sanctions. But for victims such as struggling Betsy (Kaitlyn Dever), the damage is already done. GV

The Secret of Kells, 11am, Film4
The first animated feature by the exceptional Irish studio Cartoon Saloon, Tomm Moore and Nora Twomey’s 2009 kids’ adventure tells the tale of the ninth-century illuminated manuscript the Book of Kells. Brendan (Evan McGuire) is the inquisitive nephew of Kells Abbey’s abbot (Brendan Gleeson) – and while his uncle is fortifying the walls against a Viking attack, he sneaks into a mysterious forest nearby on a quest to help complete the biblical tome. Fantasy elements overlap with dark ages drama, told in bold, colourful images inspired by Celtic art and myth. Simon Wardell
