Kevin Costner And Sienna Miller Among ‘Horizon’ Stars On Cannes Red Carpet

Kevin Costner and Sienna Miller from Horizon: An American Saga were among the stars from the upcoming Western who appeared on the red carpet for the world premiere of the film at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival on Sunday.

Also in the South of France for the debut of the film was Horizon co-star Luke Wilson, pictured above (underneath Persol Elio sunglasses) with Costner and Miller.

Take a look at who else appeared at the film’s premiere gala in the photos below.

Other Horizon cast members on hand for the film’s world premiere included Alejandro Edda, Hayes Logan Costner, Jena Malone, Abbey Lee, Georgia MacPhail, Ella Hunt, Isabelle Fuhrman and Wasé Chief.

Originally Costner anticipated a smaller cast turnout at the event, because of all the money he is sinking into the Horizon saga, which he plans to extend over four films.

“Because I’m financing this and doing a lot of this myself, in this instance it was just going to be me and Sienna,” Costner told Deadline last week. “And then I got to thinking about it and I’m going to bring all the women. I sent an email to all the guys, that I’m taking the six girls. They’re never celebrated enough.”

Also in attendance at the premiere were several of Costner’s family members, including Lily Costner, Hayes Logan Costner, Grace Avery Costner, Cayden Wyatt Costner and Annie Costner.

The Cannes logline for Horizon: An American Saga reads, “Oscar-winning director Kevin Costner chronicles the incredible epic journey of the expansion of the American West, before and after the Civil War. Between the Native Americans who saw their lands getting colonized and those who were determined to settle there, sometimes at any cost, history is being written.”

Costner, of course, won Oscars for Best Director and Best Picture as one of the producers of the 1990 Western epic Dances with Wolves.

In addition to starring in Horizon: An American Saga, Kevin Costner also writes and directs the first two chapters of the film series. Chapter 1 of Horizon will be released on June 28 and Chapter 2 will open on August 16.

Earlier in the day Costner joined his Horizon co-stars for a Cannes photocall before the cast dazzled red carpet attendees with their premiere fashionwear.

Among the stars not in Horizon who were at the premiere were Oscar winners Julianne Moore and Michelle Yeoh.

Horizon is the latest Hollywood film to stage its world premiere at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival. Other films that debuted earlier in the festival include writer-director Francis Ford Coppola’s Megalopolis and writer-director George Miller’s Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga.

The 77th edition of the Cannes Film Festival runs through Saturday.
