Wide receiver Sacovie White is the latest Georgia Bulldogs football player to have a traffic-related incident.

According to Chip Towers of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, White was booked in Athens-Clarke County jail at 3:04 a.m. on Saturday and eventually released on two bonds worth a total of $26.

He was booked in jail after he was pulled over and charged with reckless driving and driving the wrong way on a one-way street.

Towers noted that this is the 17th time someone associated with the football program was either jailed or cited for a traffic-related incident since the fatal accident in January 2023 that killed football player Devin Willock and recruiting analyst Chandler LeCroy.

Police said LeCroy and then-Georgia defensive lineman Jalen Carter were racing at more than 100 mph when that crash occurred. Carter, who is now a member of the Philadelphia Eagles, pleaded no-contest and was sentenced to 12 months probation, a $1,000 fine and 80 hours of community service while also being ordered to attend a defensive-driving course.

As for Saturday's events, this is the second arrest of 2024 for a traffic incident involving a Georgia football player.

As Towers noted, running back Trevor Etienne was cited for DUI, reckless driving and two other misdemeanor charges after he was jailed for allegedly driving at more than 80 mph in a 50-mph zone in March.

Neither player was with the Bulldogs last season.

Etienne transferred from Florida to Georgia, while White was part of the 2024 recruiting class and was an early enrollee in January.
