OAKLAND — A 36-year-old man was fatally shot Monday morning while he drove near City Hall, authorities said.

The man’s name was not immediately released, pending confirmation of his identity and notification of his relatives.

The shooting, which was captured on a gunshot detection system, happened about 2:20 a.m. Monday in the 500 block of 14th Street, near Clay Street.
