CONCORD — An operation by Concord police resulted in the arrest of six people suspected in recent gang-tied assaults and other incidents at area schools, police said.

Detectives and officers served several search warrants Tuesday, and police in a statement said they used them to connect several incidents at high schools and middle schools in the city. Information on the specific incidents was not available this week.

In the operation, authorities said they also seized two illegal guns, as well as another weapon that was used during an assault on an unspecified campus. Authorities said they also seized an unspecified amount of methamphetamine and prescription drugs that were intended to be sold.

Detectives teamed with school security officers, special enforcement team officers and Contra Costa County probation officers to make the arrests.
