Boston man sentenced to 28 years for sexually exploiting minors

Jalen Latimer, 26, of Roxbury pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to commit sex trafficking and two counts of sexual exploitation of a minor.

A Boston man was sentenced this week to serve 28 years in prison on charges that he sexually exploited children, authorities announced.

Jalen Latimer, 26, of Roxbury pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to commit sex trafficking and two counts of sexual exploitation of a minor in December, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Massachusetts announced. On Monday, in addition to his sentence, he was ordered to pay restitution in an amount that has not yet been determined.

Prosecutors said Latimer, who was known to dress up as a superhero when interacting with children, and another adult recorded themselves raping a 10 year old in July 2022, using the victim’s 5-year-old sibling to create the recording of the sexual assault.

A year later, prosecutors said Latimer conspired with the same adult to arrange the sexual assault of another child.

Latimer was arrested in January 2024 and later convicted in Worcester Superior Court on three counts of counts of aggravated rape of a child, four counts of aggravated indecent assault and battery on a child, and human trafficking of a minor.

He is currently serving a 15-year state prison sentence, which federal authorities said will run concurrently with his new federal prison sentence.
