We're four months into the year, which means it's probably time to start getting a move on our New Year's resolutions, like decluttering our beauty routines (and possibly our lives, but there's nothing wrong with starting small). When it comes to products, that means welcoming the adage "out with the old and in with the new." It's time to get rid of all of our expired makeup, clean our makeup brushes, and make room for some new-ness. Best Lengthening Mascara
Armani Vertigo Lift Longwear Lengthening Mascara ($32)
"If you despise clumpy lashes, you're going to love this new mascara from Armani. I don't know if the secret to this product is in the brush, the formula, or both, but it makes my lashes look so fluffy and full with zero clumps, lumps, and flakes. The stiff plastic brush makes it easy to load on the product and comb it through from root to tip. The formula itself is ultra black and long-wearing, giving me length and lift." — Jessica Harrington, senior editor, beauty

Best Lip Gloss
Merit Shade Slick Lip Sheen in Twin Set ($24)
"Technically, Merit classifies its Shade Slick as a tinted lip oil; I call it a tiny tube of liquid perfection. It has all the things you want in a gloss — a sheer wash of color, that hit of hydration, a juicy finish — but without any of the goopiness. I've tried all four shades but can't get enough of Twin Set, a mauve-y pink, and will be guarding it like Gollum from anyone who sees me swipe it on between now until the end of time." — Kelsey Castañon, senior content director

Best Bronzer
Saltyface Liquid Bronzer ($36)
"I'm all about a no-makeup makeup look, and I'm obsessed with Saltyface's self-tanning products. So, when I heard they were coming out with a liquid bronzer, I couldn't wait to get my hands on it. It's buildable and the perfect product to wear on its own or add to moisturizer or serum for the easiest glow that only takes a few seconds to achieve. Plus, it's perfect for someone like me who is acne-prone." — Renee Rodriguez, staff writer and social producer

Best Skin Tint
Make Up For Ever Super Boost Lightweight Moisturizing Skin Tint ($36)
"The first time I applied the tint, it immediately melted into my skin and blended in seamlessly. It had a gel-like texture and barely-there feel. Admittedly, one layer of product felt too sheer on me but still managed to give my skin a more even look and lessen the appearance of dark spots and redness. I don't like covering my freckles, so I appreciated that they were still visible under the tint as well. For more coverage, I could add on another layer, but more often than not I found that one was enough to achieve that 'no makeup' makeup look." — Alida Araica, newsletter manager

Best Volumizing Mascara
Makeup by Mario Master Mascara Volumizing & Lift ($28)
"I rarely switch mascaras since I started wearing makeup, but I've tested my fair share. I had high hopes with this one from Makeup by Mario (after all, it's Mario), but it definitely surpassed my expectations. I loved how much volume it gave my lashes with one swipe and how lightweight it felt. It didn't clump my lashes together like my other mascaras tend to do, making my eyes pop instantly. I'll be using this product until further notice." — Naomi Parris, assistant editor, shopping

Best Peptide Lip Product
Côte Beauty The Necessity Peptide Lip Shine ($24)
"I'm picky when it comes to lip products, but the ones from Côte Beauty always make my list. The brand's Peptide Lip Shine is perfect for a low-key look that gives 'your lips, but better.' My favorite shade is Lyla, a subtle pink that adds just a hint of color." — Renee Rodriguez, staff writer and social producer

Best Hydrating Lip Balm
Cocokind Ceramide Lip Blur Balm ($12)
"Cocokind's new Ceramide Lip Blur Balm has everything I love about healing balms but looks like lip gloss when applied. It's not sticky, makes lips appear fuller and shiny, and is formulated with ceramides and peptides that leave chapped and sensitive lips feeling nourished. Available in five shades and coming in at only $12, the balm is a steal — so you may be tempted to try out a few different colors. An added bonus? If you misplace your lip products often, the Ceramide Lip Blur Balm comes with a built-in cap ring so you can easily attach it to your keys." — Alida Araica, newsletter manager

Best Moisturizer
Cosrx The Ceramide Skin Barrier Moisturizer ($23)
"I've recently become a Cosrx lover after being introduced to the brand's snail mucin. The brand's new moisturizer has been my latest obsession — and for good reason. I have super dry skin, but this product goes on thick without feeling greasy or leaving behind a funky residue. It's been my go-to product at night whenever I want to wake up with glowing skin." — Renee Rodriguez, staff writer and social producer

Best Face Sunscreen
Kopari Beauty Sunglaze Setting Mist SPF 50 ($34)
"Because I'm a teacher's pet, I always listen to my dermatologist and slather on loads of sunscreen before leaving the house. They would, unfortunately, be less pleased to learn I am somewhat lackadaisical about my touch-ups. (There is a special kind of hell in applying a warm, creamy product to a face that is hot and sweaty.) That's why SPF spritzes have become my personal saving graces, and you can't find one much better than the Kopari Beauty Sunglaze SPF 50. The application is easy (you just shake and spritz, baby) and it leaves behind the prettiest, most subtle glow that glimmers when the light hits. Oh, and it's packed with high levels of protection against UVA/UVB rays — the American Dermatological Association recommends SPF 30 or higher — so it's a win-win-win for me." — Kelsey Castañon, senior content director

Best Acne Patches
Hero Cosmetics Mighty Patch Body Acne Pimple Patches ($15)
"We swear by the Hero Cosmetics ance patches in my house — my husband and I both use them religiously. The body acne patches are the brand's biggest patch yet, making them so convenient for treating large areas, like the arms, back, and chest." — Jessica Harrington, senior editor, beauty

Best Face Mask
Peace Out Overnight Barrier Hydrating Bio-Collagen Recovery Mask ($9)
"I've been working on incorporating face masks back into my skincare routine on a more consistent basis, and this one from Peace Out was a great start. I love how well it works for my sensitive, high-maintenance skin and the lasting glow it leaves, thanks to ingredients like hyaluronic acid and vegan hydrolyzed collagen." — Naomi Parris, assistant editor, shopping

Best Volumizing Foam
Nexxus Hy-Volume Weightless Lift Cloud Foam ($16)
"I'm on the hunt for products that'll add more volume to my blowout, but most come with a handful of drawbacks. Oftentimes, these products make my fine hair feel gritty and only provide a day of volume before my hair just looks flat-out dirty. What's amazing about the new Nexxus Hy-Volume Weightless Lift Cloud Foam is how lightweight and soft it feels in my hair while also providing incredible lift. I was shocked when I was able to brush out my blowout three days after getting my hair done with this product." — Jessica Harrington, senior editor, beauty

Best Hair Treatment
Schwarzkopf Fibre Clinix Hydrate Treatment ($19)
"I'm in the process of trying to up my hair game, which means I'm down to test any hair product that comes across my desk, especially if it helps with damage or dryness. The Schwarzkopf Fibre Clinix Hydrate Treatment has a squalane complex that helps increase hair elasticity, which is something I'm in dire need of after hours upon hours of trying different hot tools." — Renee Rodriguez, staff writer and social producer

Best Curl Jelly
Sisley Paris Hair Rituel Curl Care Jelly ($120)
"Having wavy, 2A hair can make finding hair products that work for me a real struggle. So many products on the market are too heavy for my fine ends, weighing down my waves in a very uncute way; other products don't offer enough hold, leaving my hair just looking fluffy without any real definition. The new Sisley Paris Hair Ritual Curl Care Jelly stricks a happy medium, helping mold my waves with a soft hold. If you have ultra curly or coily hair, check out the other new curl product in the line, the Curl Care Cream." — Jessica Harrington, senior editor, beauty

Best Scrunchies
Squigs Mini Silk Scrunchies ($15)
"I exclusively use silk scrunchies because they're gentle on my fine hair, resulting is less tugging and ultimately, less hair shedding. The new Squigs are perfect: they're soft, made from 100 percent silk, stretchy with good hold, and a fun color. The three-pack only cots $15, making them more affordable than many other options on the market, too." — Jessica Harrington, senior editor, beauty

Best Body Butter
Mary Louise Cosmetics Lilac Body Butter ($36)
"The coldest, crustiest days of winter may be over, but my dry skin just won't quit. Lately I've been leaning on this tub of hydration from Mary Louise Cosmetics, which is loaded with shea butter, plus coconut and almond oils, to quell any flakes and has the faintest scent of lilac that even the fragrance averse would enjoy. Just a note: a little goes a long way with this one (in fact, use too much and it'll be hard to rub in) — one scoop is all you need." — Kelsey Castañon, senior content director

Best Body Wash
Dove Deep Moisture Body Wash ($6)
"I truly believe that moisturized skin starts in the shower. Applying body lotion when you get out every day is super important, but if you really want to pack in the hydration, use a moisturizing body wash, too, like the Dove Deep Moisture Body Wash. It contains that classic, fresh clean Dove scent and has a luxurious lather. My skin feels so soft after using it." — Jessica Harrington, senior editor, beauty

Best Body Scrub
ONYX Professional Foaming Body Scrub with Scrubber ($12)
"I'll be real with you — I'm not big on scrubs, whether it be for your face or your body, but this one won me over for a few reasons. First of all, the pink color is just fun, and the fact that it foams up? 10/10 when it comes to style points. Plus, it's gentle and leaves skin feeling softer than ever. OK — maybe I'm a scrub convert?" — Renee Rodriguez, staff writer and social producer

Best Body Sunscreen
Mary Kay Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 50 ($30)
"There's something satisfying about a no-frills sunscreen that just does what it's supposed to: smear on easily, absorb quickly, and (of course) protect your skin. That's exactly what this SPF from Mary Kay is. You can't go wrong." — Kelsey Castañon, senior content director

Best Electric Razor
Meridian Grooming Slimmer Trimmer ($39)
"Finding a good razor and trimmer is no easy feat. Many options result in painful nicks, ingrown hairs, and discomfort while using them. The Meridian Grooming Slimmer Trimmer is truly the best of its kind that I've ever personally tested. It has a comfortable, easy-to-grip handle, contains an LED spotlight for visibility, and is waterproof for in-shower use, so you can shave wet or dry, depending on your preferences. It offers a close shave without going all the way to the skin and also comes with different guide combs that snap on." — Jessica Harrington, senior editor, beauty

Best Nail Treatment
Essie To the Rescue Nail Repair Treatment ($15)
"Leading up to my wedding in November, I'd been getting BIAB manicures to try and kick my nail-biting habit and get some growth for the big day. It worked (thank god) but my nails ever since have looked brittle and weak. Luckily, like a wedding planner with a clipboard and type-A tendencies, this nail treatment from Essie has come to the rescue. I've been using it once a week on bare nails and they have never been stronger." — Kelsey Castañon, senior content director

Best Fragrance
DedCool Mochi Milk ($90)
"DedCool continues to make some of my favorite fragrances ever, and their latest drop is no different. Mochi Milk is warm, it's spicy, and it smells so good you'll want to eat it — seriously. It's had a huge ass waitlist because it's just that good, and I promise if you wear it on a date you'll get tons of compliments. (You can trust me on this one because I've been on ten this year already.)" — Renee Rodriguez, staff writer and social producer

Best Laundry Detergent
Homecourt Laundry Concentrate ($48)
"I'm a sucker for fancy laundry detergent, and Courtney Cox delivered with her new Homecourt line. It comes in the brand's signature scents, Neroli Leaf, Cece, and Steeped Rose, which are all fragrant without smelling artificial or overly powerful. The concentrated formula gets you up to 70 washes per bottle, too." — Jessica Harrington, senior beauty editor
