These Are Not Your Average Met Gala French Manicures

The Met Gala is back for another year of fundraising and festivities, and some of our favorite celebrities have been bringing the heat nonstop tonight. The 2025 theme is "Superfine: Tailoring Black Style" with a dress code of "Tailored for You." Standout moments of the night have brought us everything from "dollop" bangs and rhinestone eyebrows to micro bangs on French bobs, but our favorite trend has to be the many different twists on the classic french manicure.
The nail look, first popularized in the early '00s, has seen such a resurgence in recent years that it practically deserves its own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. It has become synonymous with formal red carpet events thanks to its versatility, but that same aspect also makes it a perfect manicure for day-to-day wear. Just tonight alone, the trend has been spotted on Sydney Sweeney, Sabrina Carpenter, Tracee Ellis Ross, and more. Even better? No two looks are the same, proving once again how adaptable the trend can be.

Sabrina Carpenter's Met Gala nails featured almond-shaped filigree french tips created by celebrity nail artist Zola Ganzorigt. The surprise feature? The tips were custom threaded, as was the Louis Vuitton logo.

Tracee Ellis Ross sported a simple rich girl french manicure also by Zola Ganzorigt using OPI It's a Girl ($12) and OPI Bare My Soul ($21).

Isha Ambani popped up on the red carpet sporting one of our favorite manicure trends, the chevron french. Created by celebrity manicurist Julie Kandalec, her nails featured a sharp black tip on almond-shaped nails.

Tyla's crystal pinstripe french manicure was one of our favorite looks of the entire night. Created by celebrity nail artist Coca Michelle, the design featured a classic white french tip with crystals and pinstripes adorning each finger.

Hailey Beiber's Naked French Manicure
For this year's Met Gala, Bieber opted not to stray far from her typical manicure. The look, which was created by celebrity nail artist Zola Ganzorigt, featured a naked french manicure with a hint of chrome.
