Car belonging to man sought in estranged wife’s slaying found in Orange County
Eight Orange County schools were briefly locked down Tuesday morning as authorities searched for a man suspected of killing his estranged wife in Kissimmee. Deputies said they have obtained a warrant for Alex Olivencia-Alvarado for first-degree murder after they found his wife fatally shot Monday at a home on Manoel Street. Detectives said Olivencia-Alvarado is considered armed and dangerous. Officials said he frequents Meadow Woods area of Orange County and his black 2009 Toyota Scion was found Tuesday morning by a retention pond on J. Lawson Boulevard near Boggy Creek Road. The search for Olivencia-Alvarado prompted lock downs at eight Orange County schools.The following schools were placed under a lockdown. Deputies said they have obtained a warrant for Alex Olivencia-Alvarado for first-degree murder after they found his wife fatally shot Monday at a home on Manoel Street.

Detectives said Olivencia-Alvarado is considered armed and dangerous.

Orange County Public Schools officials said the lockdowns were in the process of being lifted just before 11 a.m.

As of 10 p.m. Tuesday, there was still no sign of Olivencia-Alvarado.
