“Pretty Woman: The Musical” will be changing leading men for Broadway.

The producers announced Wednesday that Steve Kazee, who played the lead role of Edward Lewis during the show’s pre-Broadway tryout in Chicago this spring, had been replaced by Andy Karl, best known for playing the lead role in the Broadway musical “Groundhog Day.”

Directed by Jerry Mitchell, the show continues to star Broadway newcomer Samantha Barks in the role made famous by Julia Roberts in the Gary Marshall film. Performances on Broadway begin July 20 at the Nederlander Theatre, 208 W. 41st St. Opening night is slated for Aug. 19.
