Readers rant about sledding through garden, rave about Jackson Park Golf skiing
RANT To the person who removed the little picket fence around my neighbor’s garden, presumably so kids sledding down the hill wouldn’t impale themselves. I get that, but my neighbor was home, you could have knocked on the door and asked permission instead of tramping through the bulb patch (some already sprouted), tossing the picket parts to the side. When I commented “oh, the poor flowers” you and your friend scowled at me. What entitles you to ruin someone’s flowers? I get the precaution, but couldn’t you be thoughtful enough to go around the bed instead of though it?
RAVE To Jackson Park Golf Course for opening their course to sledders, skiers and other snow-lovers. What a treat to not have to drive to the mountains to go skiing! Thank you!
