Lady Gaga has more than 20 tattoos — some more visible than others — and like so many collectors, she shows no sign of stopping. On Valentine's Day, the singer debuted two new tattoos, one of which pays homage to the movie that has changed the course of her already illustrious career.

"Happy Valentine’s Day. A tattoo toast to “la vie en rose” by the beautiful @winterstone my spinal cord is now a rose," Gaga wrote on Instagram alongside a photo of her back; from neck to waist, is a delicate, single-needle tattoo of a rose in black ink with the words "la vie en rose" in script, alternating sides down the stem. Fans of A Star Is Born, for which Gaga has received numerous nominations and awards for her performance and songwriting, know that "La Vie En Rose" is the song, originally made famous by Edith Piaf, that her character, Ally, sings in a bar before meeting Bradley Cooper's character, Jackson. Superfans know that it's the song Gaga was singing at the 2016 opening of the Parker Institute for Cancer Immunotherapy when Cooper decided she was the right person for the role.

Artist Daniel Winter posted a black and white version of the photo to his own Instagram grid, writing, "I can not express enough what an honor it was tattooing you @ladygaga you are a breath of fresh air and truly a magical and inspirational woman!"

During their recent session, Winter also gave Gaga a second tattoo on her forearm: G-A-G-A spelled out as musical notes. Unlike fellow tattoo-loving singer Ariana Grande, however, Gaga she caught a mistake before she left the shop: "Musical crisis averted. Too many tequilas forgot the fifth staff line poor thing."

Gaga has often chosen to cover her tattoos for awards shows, but she's been letting all of her back art shine this season. At the Golden Globes and Grammys, her strapless gowns showed off her daisies, a heart that reads "dad," the words "Tokyo Love," a claw-like hand covered in lace and beads, and a lotus-like symbol. We'll have to wait until February 24 to find out if the Oscar nominee will wear a gown that spotlights her latest back tattoo at the Academy Awards.
