'Fortnite' Overtime Challenge: Where To Visit 10 Different Named Locations

This article is more than 5 years old.

Fortnite has released its most important set of challenges to date, because if you complete a good chunk of them, you’ll get a free season 8 battle pass, and all the 100 tiers of rewards it entails if you want to grind for them.

And they’re making it pretty damn easy to get.

Another batch of challenges have been released and man, these are some of the easiest challenges I have ever seen in this game, and I have been writing guides for over a year now. These challenges actually seem to be designed specifically to force me not to write guides for them. But I’ll be damned if I’m not going to try. Take that Epic!!

So, one of today’s challenges wants you to visit 10 different named locations on the map.

A named location is a location that has a name on it on the map. There are a lot of landmarks that exist but do not have names attached to them because they are small. All the named locations are pretty big, but some are bigger than others. Here’s a list of all the named locations as of season 7:

  • Junk Junction
  • Haunted Hills
  • Pleasant Park
  • Snobby Shores
  • Frosty Flights
  • Polar Peak
  • Happy Hamlet
  • Shifty Shafts
  • Tilted Towers
  • Loot Lake
  • Lazy Links
  • The Block
  • Tomato Temple
  • Wailing Woods
  • Lonely Lodge
  • Retail Row
  • Dusty Divot
  • Salty Springs
  • Fatal Fields
  • Lucky Landing
  • Paradise Palms

There are 21 in total, meaning you have to visit less than half to get this challenge done. Players will usually choose to land at named locations because they tend to have the most potential for loot. But watch out! Other players will have the same idea, which will make these areas quite dangerous.

Epic

My favorite named locations, if you’re taking a tour of the map for this challenge:

Tomato Temple: There are earthquake cracks opening up all around Tomato Temple every few hours, so it’s worth it to go see it for yourself.

Polar Peak: Touring the elaborate castle never gets old, and I’m still not sure I’ve even seen all of its parts yet.

Frosty Flights: Planes may be nerfed, but if you want one, there are always a ton at Frosty Flights!

Lonely Lodge/Wailing Woods: I have a hunch that these areas might be uh, gone fairly soon as the map reshapes itself, so visit them while you can! I think the Wailing Woods bunker might be producing something that’s causing these earthquakes and all this coming destruction.

Depending on the game, you can probably visits 4-5 named areas in a match if you survive, making this challenge beatable in maybe 2-3 games. Just visit the area, wait for the challenge to appear as completed, then move on!

There, I did it, I wrote a guide for literally one of the simplest challenges on earth. My brain hurts. Epic, please make more interesting Overtime challenges. Make people work for that battle pass!
