Another question about caffeine and heart beats?

Yesterday I asked a question and kindly Susan Cody answered in this link https://www.empowher.com/community/ask/rising-heart-beats-because-coffee?allcomments=1&anon=1#comment-262168
However I have another question, “I don’t drink coffee regularly. Only once in a month or once in three months. Could be longer than that. I had decaf mocha so it did contain chocolate in it I suppose but without sugar. This is not the first time that happened to me. So is it because I’m not used to drink coffee, and my body maybe surprises whenever I drink it? Should I just quit drinking it to avoid seeing a doctor?”

Hello Anon. Thank you for posting.

You might be a person that is very sensitive to caffeine. We cannot know. If you feel that your heartbeat is still elevated, even after giving up coffee, speak with your doctor.
