Fans of B&B Italia now can find the brand's wares in a dedicated store at the edge of the Dallas Design District. Having previously displayed its products at Internum, the company reacquired the showroom last year and remodeled the space as its eighth official U.S. flagship, joining those in New York, Washington, Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Miami, and Sun Valley, Idaho.

“The time is right for the company’s move,” says Sophie Herslow, U.S. media and marketing analyst for B&B Italia. “There’s a blooming design community here, and Dallas is the fastest-growing market in the U.S.” In addition to serving designers, architects, and consumers, the company hopes to grow its dedicated contract division.

Inside the 5,500-square-foot showroom located at 1707 Oak Lawn Avenue, the furniture on view includes both newer offerings and iconic pieces dating back to the company’s founding in 1966. The curvy Up chair by Gaetano Pesce, celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, will be available in five new electric colors later this summer. The Atoll sofa by Antonio Citterio features a modular design and two seating depths, suiting both formal entertaining and more casual lounging. Lacquered-polyurethane Colosseo side tables by Naoto Fukasawa are available in 16 colors plus a new choose-your-own Pantone customizable selection.

The front entrance of the showroom displays the brand’s outdoor offerings. A vignette of the Bay collection by Doshi Levien encourages visitors to curl up in one of the sculptural high-backs, and Patricia Urquiola’s Crinoline pays homage to 19th-century fashion in a modern throne.

The showroom is located in the Dallas Design District, an area undergoing a big overhaul with new restaurants, retail, and hotels. According to showroom manager Natasha Perez, “it’s a great spot for our new collections, full of patterns, colors, and playfulness.”
