The Best New Makeup Launches Coming This Month
Here at Allure, we love makeup. Like really, really love makeup. Our beauty editors could talk liquid liner, highlighter, and foundation all damn day (and we often do). After all, it is our job and not one we take lightly. We eagerly pore over every new launch, every emerging brand, and have an encyclopedia of dupes in our brains at all times. While we're partial to our particular faves, our heart rates spike with each exciting makeup release. Who knows, maybe there will be some newfangled primer that actually works for our finicky skin type or an innovative mascara that truly checks off every box on our criteria.
With each launch, it's always cool to see what innovations beauty brands come up with to improve on a formula or design. One could easily say that makeup is the one thing exempt from the "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" mantra. That's the exciting part of the ever-expanding market: finding new makeup treasures to further complete our artistic visions of becoming ourselves. Rituel De Fille makes some of the dreamiest cream highlighters, and the brand keeps coming out with new, even shinier and even more iridescent iterations — like these Metamorphic Highlighters, which are showstoppers, in their own right. The four shades all have a prismatic, duo-shift effect that looks like a dewy glass shine at one angle, and then glints pink, blue, gold, or silver when the light hits it. C'est magique. And much like those rare glints, these very limited-edition, single-run production highlighters are only available until May 6 (or until sold out).

Kylie Jenner is moving to conquer yet another beauty category with Kybrow, her first-ever range of brow products. The seven-piece collection includes every eyebrow product you'll ever need — and a few things you'll probably only use for a special occasion browbeat. The new launches include brow pencil, pomade, powder duo, gel, brush, and two formulas of brow-specific highlighter in matte and shimmer. Pair with one (or many) of your Kylie Cosmetics eye shadow singles and you've got yourself an eye lewk.

These green makeup brushes are actually green makeup brushes. This set's handles are made from a plant-based polymer that makes them 100 percent biodegradable. Pretty neat, huh? 4/24Flesh Hot Sauce Lip Gloss
You may not consider smearing spicy condiments on your mouth as an option (unless the applicator is a hot wing), but don't worry — this is not that. Flesh's new collection of 10 sheer, nude lip glosses do taste a bit like cinnamon candy, but the real hook is in the playful range of nudes, including a Twiggy-esque pale pink, those nice and warm terracotta ruddy nudes (my personal fave), and some deeper mauve-y tones as well. The gloss feels like a hybrid between a lip oil and a gloss; it's rich and creamy but not sticky, despite the shiny finish. The colors are sheer enough that your own lip color peeks through, but they cast a veil of color over it, making it look like your lips but shiny.

If cleanliness is to godliness, in the world of Charlotte Tilbury, shininess is to goddess-liness (or something like that). This spring the House of Tilbury is making us very shiny indeed with these face palettes designed to give you a glow that only climax can give. Well, that's the idea anyway. With Lightgasm for fair-to-medium complexions and Lovegasm for medium-to-deep complexions, these two face palettes are definitely the hero products in the Glowgasm collection. There is also a "Dreamgasm" eye quad and three new shades of the Hollywood Beauty Light Wand ($38): Goldgasm, Pinkgasm, and Peachgasm (I trust that you can infer the shades from the names).

7/24Milk Makeup Kush Waterproof Mascara & Lash Primer
When Milk Makeup launched Kush Mascara, it quickly became the brand's big contender. Lauded for its heavy-handed volume and conditioning CBD oil-laced, conditioning formula, to me, the one thing missing from the formula was a smudge-proof factor. Well, that shouldn't be a problem anymore with the new waterproof version (which the brand made sure to remain tug-proof, so it's easy to remove). There's also now a new Kush Lash Primer, in case you're going for decadent amounts of volume. It has the same CBD oil-based conditioning formula and heart-shaped fibers as the mascara, but this underpinning layer gives that an extra boost in bulk. Both lash products will be $24.

Don't you love when you get more of a good thing? We've been fans of Milk Makeup's Kush Brow gel since it launched, and now there are more shades for more brows. MJ is the newest, light shade for cool, taupe brows, Dub is an auburn for redheads, Herb is a neutral, medium brown, Cypher is a warm, dark brownish black, and Diesel is a cool-toned, deep dark brown/black.

9/24Boscia Skin Perfecting BB Cream Broad Spectrum SPF 30
Boscia's original BB Cream has been an Allure Reader's Choice pick for a while, but now the brand revamped its BB offerings with a broader shade range than just one "self-adjusting" shade. Four is on the rather conservative side, anyone could certainly say, but these wear rather sheer so there's room to stretch. It feels really nice on skin and makes your face look dewy, plumped, and just a bit more evened out.

A powder counterpart to the popular Double Wear liquid foundation, this matte, powder foundation gives you a bevy of coverage options depending on how you apply. You can set makeup or do touch-ups with a fluffy powder brush, amp up coverage with the sponge side of the included makeup applicator, go for a medium-coverage look with the velvety side of the applicator, or do a sheer look with a wet application. There are 41 shades to choose from.

We love a custom beauty product and we love when it's fancy as hell, to boot. Luxury brand Guerlain just made its already-fancy lipsticks even more custom with the ability to choose your shade and your case (the ones seen here are the spring 2019 offerings). Embossed vegan leather on the metal components give the cases a really satisfying tactile feel (and they open up to reveal a tiny mirror — chic!), and you can choose your lipstick shade of choice to fill and re-fill the case, making this both a rich-bitch buy as well as a sustainable beauty power move. On that note, the brand omitted the use of magnets in the component as well, to make this even more sustainable and recyclable. Also, if you visit a Guerlain boutique, the brand offers custom engraving on the case — and now your fancy lifestyle is complete.

Already big in the U.K., EX1's Invisiwear Foundation makes its official U.S. launch this month exclusively with Riley Rose. This is the stuff of lightweight, full-coverage foundation dreams (Jacklyn Hill and Kathleen Lights have given their stamp of approval for its skin-like finish). Most recently though, you'd have probably seen its concealer counterpart on Oscar-winner Rami Malek. While there are only 16 shades currently, brand founder Farah Naz formulated this foundation with undertone specifically in mind — particularly for olive and yellow-golden undertones. (Very exciting news for me, personally.) Also, the formula is vegan and cruelty-free, non-comedogenic, and oil- and fragrance-free.

Beauty vlogger Jackie Aina was just lamenting the lack of skin-tone variety in lipsticks marketed as "nude," and it sounds like M.A.C. heard her — and so many others — loud and clear. The new Strip Down collection adds 17 new shades of Lipstick in a variety of finishes and 7 new Lipglass shades that reflect the brand's "mission to create an inclusive and diverse collection of lip shades for people of any and all colors." And with names like Derrière, Kinkster, and Dangerous Curves, M.A.C. is making it clear that neutral hues aren't the least bit boring.

Benefit just released four more shades of its popular Goof Proof and Precisely, My Brow eyebrow pencils: a neutral blonde, (2.5), a warm medium brown (3.75), a cool grey (so cool, it has no number apparently), and a warm auburn (2.75) just for redheads, many of whom previously probably had to use lip liner to define their brows. So now redheads can reap the brow-sculpting abilities of Benefits two best-selling eyebrow pencils.

There is something so bafflingly charming to me about a prestige, luxury brand releasing a gritty, downtown-vibed, limited-edition collection. It's like when your mom lets you drink in the house as a teen, or better yet when she agrees that yes — you really do need those pleather low-rider pants. It feels very "rich girl gone bad" to me with a rebellious attitude that does what she wants and takes no shit because she's tired of being controlled by her father's unrealistic expectations.
Anyway, this is supposed to be about lipstick, and the lipstick shades are very cool, with a near-fluorescent vibrancy in its luxe Louboutin housing that makes them look a bit dangerous but always very, very rich. Fave shade: the fiery red Diva. (Obviously.)

A glass skin-care routine is one thing, but a glass skin makeup routine is something else entirely; it takes just as much effort but it requires makeup products with a very specific... body, if you will. This gel-oil face gloss formula is that body — it's just the perfect viscosity that grabs onto skin right where you dab it but never quite dries down so you always look dewy because you are always dewy. The three shades are a lot sheerer than they appear in the tube so rather than pigment, you have a veil of bronze, pink, or blue-flecked shimmer so subtle it really does look like you're lit from within.

"Icy Betch" is the joke that keeps on giving, quite literally. The brand's April Fools initiative last year ended up being a joke on them (sort of) because brand fans loved it so much they demanded that Tarte deliver it. So one year later, it did.
It doesn't look like the gag palette, but it's actually better because it has eye shades as well as a highlighter in it. There are five matte shades, four "lusters," and one highlighter.

Lipstick Queen has crowned its best-selling red lipstick with its own posse of lip products. The classic red shade Medieval now comes in its classic lipstick bullet ($24) with a sheer, satin finish; an Intense Lipstick ($24), which is a concentrated, creamy lip color; the Tinted Lip 'Lixir ($20), a silky lightweight tint; and a lip liner ($18).

Lipstick Queen is known for its shade-shifting pH-reacting lip colors, and now the brand's just released three more shades: Venetian Masquerade (a purple that changes to a bright berry), Highway 66 (a lime green that turns to sheer tangerine), and Old Flame (bright orange that turns peach). They look slightly different on everyone since the formula is pH-reactive, but all in all, who doesn't love a fun color-changing lipstick? Who also doesn't love the idea of whipping out a green lipstick, swiping on, and coming away with a cheery, warm orange shade? Neither are me.

Sun Stalk'r may sound like some sort of UV-hunting assassin, but it's a transfer-proof powder bronzer that comes in eight shades to make you look as bronzed and sculpted as those aforementioned envy-inducing vacation grams. The brand's now-iconic hexagon-shaped compacts are gilded in rose gold for this one, and I can't lie, I'm a goddamn sucker for rose gold packaging. Rihanna, you got me again.

They will definitely go well with those Sun Stalk'r Bronzers and a trip to Coachella.

Of course, of course. We've been foaming at the mouth for this collection ever since word dropped about its creation. This eye shadow palette not only serves up 20 vibrant jewel-toned shades named after the houses and locations in Game of Thrones, it also serves as a makeshift diorama. Neat! There's House Targaryen (jewel-tone shimmers), House Lannister (warm metallic mattes and shimmers), House Stark (earthy mattes and neutral shimmers), and the White Walkers (cool, icy shimmers).

Jill Stuart's beauty line is relatively new to the States but has been big in Japan for a minute now. Lucky for us, we now get to enjoy the brand's uniquely innovative formulas, like its powder shadows that have a sheer-but-buildable finish but feel impossibly creamy. Seriously, I'm baffled. This little compact has five shades in pink-toned, shimmery neutrals that you can apply with a brush, or honestly, just your fingers — both give your eyes a beautiful, watercolor-like veil of shadow.
