How to watch future 2020 election events live

The April 22 town hall was one just one of many multi-candidate events that will be held between now and the 2020 election. While some of these events will be streamed for free for anyone with an internet connection, many are exclusive to certain channels. In those instances, here’s how to watch for free.

You usually can’t stream live TV without a subscription to a cable, satellite, or internet streaming TV provider, but there’s a temporary loophole you can use to get around paying: Each of the major online streaming services offers a free trial that you can use to watch the event—just be sure to cancel your subscription before the trial period runs out if you don’t want to commit, or you’ll be charged for a month of service. You’ll also be able to re-watch many of these events after they’ve aired by either recording them live, or via an on-demand catch-up stream (if your particular channel/provider supports on-demand playback).

Here are the free trial offers for each platform:

The Hail Mary option is using Facebook and Google Maps to search for local public watch events being held at local venues or bars.
