Veuve Clicquot Wants To Send You On A Picnic From The Ritz Boston

This article is more than 4 years old.

Summertime is better with bike rides, picnics and champagne. But who has the time to actually organize a picnic these days? Well, that’s why the Ritz Carlton Boston has partnered with Veuve Clicquot to plan one for you.

This whole summer, guests of the hotel, Bostonians and visitors are invited to book the “Veuve Clicquot Picnic Experience." Available to the public, this is an activity you’ll want to add to your summer bucket list as soon as possible. The experience includes:

– A picnic basket filled with a meal for two people

– Two Veuve Clicquot bicycles to use to find the perfect picnic spot in town

– A Veuve Clicquot picnic blanket

– A Bottle of Veuve Clicquot champagne and desserts (to be enjoyed back in Artisan Bistro post-picnic when you return)

There are two menu options for your picnic basket, guests may choose from either the “Public Garden” or the “Boston Common” menus.

THE PUBLIC GARDEN

– Crostini with Roasted Beet Hummus

– House Marinated Olives

– Brussel Sprout Caesar Salad

– Farro with Green Beans, Snow Peas, Basil & Lemon Vinaigrette

– Seasonal Fruit

– Assorted Macarons

– Cucumber-Mint Lemonade & Bottled Water

THE BOSTON COMMON

– Vermont Creamery Aged St. Alban Cheese with Crostini

– House Marinated Olives

– Petit Crudité with Garlic Hummus

– Prosciutto & Brie Sandwich on Focaccia with Arugula & Balsamic

– Seasonal Fruit

– Lemon Squares

– Blueberry Lemonade & Bottled Water

The excursion allows you three hours to enjoy riding the bikes, dining on the packed meal and luxuriating in one of Boston’s green spaces. The experience begins when you pick up your bikes, helmets, and picnic basket at the Artisan Bistro at the Ritz Carlton Boston. Once you are all saddled up you will ride to wherever you and your guest desire in town. According to Bostonians, the best spots for a picnic are in Boston Common and on the Esplanade, which stretches along the banks of the Charles River. Ride until you find the perfect spot, open up your picnic basket and take your time enjoying an alfresco meal courtesy of the culinary team at the Ritz.

Once you have thoroughly enjoyed your meal and have soaked up some late afternoon sun, you’ll head back to the Artisan Bistro inside the Ritz Carlton Boston for a chilled bottle of Veuve Clicquot and some desserts to wrap up the evening. Can you think of a better treat after burning all those calories bike riding?

Summertime in New England is brief so make an effort to get outside and enjoy it.
