YouTube's loudest couple is engaged, and honestly nobody surprised.

Jake Paul proposed to fellow vlogger Tana Mongeau during a weekend trip to Las Vegas to celebrate her 21st birthday. At around 1:30 a.m. at a club on Monday, he brought out a three-tier cake decorated with an enormous ring and the words, "Will you marry me, Tana?"

She immediately tweeted about it.

She also showed off the massive engagement ring on her Instagram stories.

Before proposing, Paul also gifted Mongeau with a Mercedes-Benz G-Class. In a video earlier this month, he taught her to drive in his Tesla, and Mongeau admitted that she still doesn't have a learner's permit, let alone a driver's license. She hasn't confirmed whether she's obtained one since posting that video.

Paul and Mongeau's love story is, uh, complicated. In late April, Mongeau announced her break up with YouTuber Brad Sousa in a video titled "i got cheated on but that's okay." Stans went wild when they spotted Paul's bed frame in the background of a Snapchat video she posted days later, and began shipping the two. They jokingly collaborated on a mukbang video just two days after her break up announcement, in which Mongeau referred to Paul as her "rebound."

In the very messy and very public aftermath that involved apology vlogs, a feud between Paul and Sousa, and excessive partying, the two vloggers' relationship has wavered between real and a tongue-in-cheek middle finger to doubtful audiences. Both have publicly stated that they're dating for clout — they even have #Jana merch — and they seem to milk their love for every possible drop of content.

It's worth noting that Paul's previous relationship with his now-ex Erika Costell also started out as fake. In an interview with the New York Times, he confessed: "We’re not even actually dating. It’s like the WWE. People know that’s fake, and it’s one of the biggest things of entertainment." They also held a fake wedding, vlogging the whole ceremony from the altar.

In Shane Dawson's docu-series about Paul, the then-couple confirmed that their relationship had become real. Paul announced their break up over Twitter last November.

So as questionable as their relationship is, they're at least open about using it for further attention and publicity. Is it real love? That's between them. Does it get them views? Absolutely.

After Mongeau's late-night announcement, Twitter users lost it.

Some joked about the two using their relationship for content.

Whatever their relationship, we're sure to see more Jana collaborations soon — a proposal vlog has to be in the works!
