Animation hidden in latest WatchOS 6 beta reveals something important about the Apple Watch
TF International analyst Ming-Chi Kuo expects Apple to unveil the Apple Watch Series 5 on September 10th alongside the new 2019 iPhones. The latest version of the company's smartwatch, according to Kuo, will be released this coming fall. Today, iHelp BR revealed (via The Verge) that it discovered some new information that is possibly related to the next Apple Watch model, hidden in the latest WatchOS 6 beta.

Animation for the Apple Watch setup process discovered inside the beta software shows that the device will be offered with both a ceramic and titanium case. It isn't clear whether the new materials will be available for the new Apple Watch Series 5 or will be used for new variations of the current Apple Watch Series 4. No matter which model will be sold in ceramic and titanium, the new materials will be found in both 40mm and 44mm case sizes.

While Apple did a release ceramic versions of the Apple Watch Series 2 and Series 3, it has never produced a version of the timepiece in titanium. The new Apple Card, however, is made from the material although you can't tell the time on it. The ceramic Apple Watch Series 2 was originally priced at $1,250 and up for the 38mm model and $1,300 and up for the 42mm unit.

The Apple Watch Series 5 will supposedly look exactly like the Series 4 model with its edge-to-edge display. Apple's LCD supplier, Japan Display, will provide 15% to 20% of the OLED panels used on the device this year. That will rise to as much as 70%-80% by 2021. In financial trouble, Japan Display recently went through a reorganization with Apple chipping in $100 million.
