John Travolta might be best known as an actor, but he moonlights as a pilot, licensed to operate Boeing 707s and numerous other aircrafts. Because of his passion for flying, the Grease star bought a home in a private aviation community in Ocala, Florida. And now, some lucky plane enthusiast can be his neighbor, because a property in the exclusive Jumbolair neighborhood was just listed for $10.5 million.
The property for sale includes over 550 acres, plus a 7,686-square-foot mansion once owned by Muriel Vanderbilt which includes a grand foyer with a sweeping staircase, a pool, a poolhouse, a gym, stables, and a banquet hall that can fit 400 guests. The new owner will also get several rental properties and developed lots that are said to be income-producing assets.

Travolta also has access to the Jumbolair runways, and the Hairspray star and his wife, Kelly Preston, previously told AD that they use the feature often. “We fly in and out a lot,” Preston said in April 2004. “Last year when Johnny was shooting a movie in Tampa, he flew to and from work every day. Each night the kids and I would go out in the golf cart, watch the landing, then bring Johnny to the house while the plane taxied in. It was very exciting.”
