Hello, Anon! Thank you for posting.

By "sex checkup" do you mean a gynecologic exam? The purpose of a routine annual gynecology exam is to allow a health care provider to check your female organs to ensure and maintain good gynecological health. So, it's important to do this whether you are sexually active or not. Most women start receiving annual gynecology exams between the ages of 18 and 21, or when they become sexually active.

If you have not seen your GYN in a while consider doing so. While there, you can also discuss birth control options if pregnancy is something you don't want right now. Congratulations on your upcoming wedding. :)
