When a child gets sick, it is the entire family which suffers.
The internet has found itself in a pool of tears after a photo of a little girl helping her brother suffering from cancer was shared online recently.
The siblings' mother, Kaitlin, 28, a resident of USA shared a picture of the two and it is absolutely heart-wrenching.
Beckett Burge, 4, is suffering from leukemia, a rare blood cancer condition and is going through chemotherapy.
In the photo that made everybody teary-eyed, Beckett's sister Aubrey, who herself is 5 can be seen helping her baby brother in the washroom as he vomits, one of the side effects of chemotherapy.
According to reports, the boy was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia in April, last year. For the treatment, the little boy had to undergo a number of painful chemotherapy sessions, blood and platelet transfusions and also had to endure a one-month-long stay at the hospital before he was allowed to go back home and recover.
In a powerful post, the mother of two wrote some resonating words and highlighted how painful, emotionally exhausting and sad
childhood cancer can get. Sharing the photo online, Kaitlyn wrote, "One thing they don't tell you about childhood cancer is that it affects the entire family,"

Penning a heartfelt note about how close the two siblings are, the mother also wrote that the two have seen a lot together in the past year, from playing together to holding each other's hand in the hospital.
"My two kids, 15 months apart, went from playing in school and at home together to sitting in a cold hospital room together."
Cancer diagnosis and treatment took such a toll on the little boy, everybody could see how much pain he was in. Excerpts from the note read:
"Our daughter (Aubrey) watched Beckett go from a "lively, energetic" boy to a "quiet, sick, and very sleepy little boy". The change affected the whole family.
"She didn't understand how he was able to walk before this, but now he can't even stand unassisted,"
The mother also noted that she is extremely grateful for the close bond the two share, adding that the Aubrey, like any elder sister, is extremely protective and caring towards her brother. She even offers to help her parents in cleaning the house and feeding him.
"They have an incredible bond. To this day, they are closer, she always takes care of him," said Kaitlin.
The picture went viral and won a lot of hearts. There were also comments from parents and cancer survivors, who saluted the kids' bravery and the love they have for each other.
