ACE celebrates Engineers Day by organising seminar on Energy Conservation
CHANDIGARH: Aryans College of Engineering, Rajpura near Chandigarh celebrated Engineers Day on Sunday at its campus. A Seminar on Energy Conservation through Green Buildings was organized in which Er Gurbakshish Singh, Associate Professor, Government Polytechnic College for Girls, Patiala was the Guest Speaker on the occasion. Students of Civil, Mechanical, ECE, CSE, EE participated in the seminar.
The students and staff of Aryans also participated in other activities including presentations on their new innovative projects, paper presentation, word hunt, engineering quiz etc.

Gurbakshish Singh while emphasizing on the importance of green buildings said that it influences our climate and overall ecosystem by reducing water use and energy sources that pollute our environment such as coal and carbon dioxide discharge into the atmosphere. Moreover, green buildings are environment friendly cost efficient and health effective.
1st position was bagged by ME 5th semester Students for developing a pneumatic vehicle which runs using compressed air. 2nd position was bagged by civil 3rd semester students who developed hydraulic bridge. Hydraulic bridge is a movable bridge which allows the passage to the boats and ships. 3rd position was bagged by ECE department for developing ballistic sheets which are used in military for security purpose.
On the occasion Aryans engineering students also displayed their projects namely "Aryans Android App", "Aryans Save Kashmir App", "Aryans Life Saving Glove", "Aryans Safety Helmet", "Ramadan App", "eMunshi- Advocate Diary", "Aryans Solar Boat", "Aryans Shikara App" etc which have been launched and gained popularity widely.
