I'm a busy person. I don't say this to brag about having such a full schedule — in fact, I wish I had more free time. However, I also wish I had healthier hair, which is why I'm always looking for ways to combat the heat damage that occurs from blow-drying my curls with the diffuser and using a curling iron on the fussiest parts of my hair that just won't cooperate. During Allure's Best of Beauty testing, I had the privilege of trying out about a thousand (OK, that might be a slight over-estimation, but only slight) hair treatments, and some of them assume I have the time to luxuriate in the shower or bath much longer than I do. But not the Pantene Intense Rescue Shots. These babies do the work they need to do in just one minute — and who doesn't have one minute?

These "shots" are said to be Pantene's "most potent hair repair product yet," and though I haven't tried everything the brand has to offer, the results I got after only one use make me apt to agree. Each shot is formulated with nourishing vitamin B5 and strengthening lipids, which are conveniently portioned out into single-serving ampoules. And each box has three masks with half an ounce each, which is great if you're someone who tends not to know how much to use.

After shampooing and conditioning with my go-to products, I put one of these on and combed through with a wide-tooth comb (starting at my ends and going slowly, as hair is most prone to breakage when wet), and left it on for just one minute while lathering up with body wash.

After doing my normal routine of drying with my Dyson dryer with the diffuser attachment, I had far fewer flyaways than usual. My curls were soft and shiny, and though there is really no product that can fix split ends, it felt as though mine were less noticeable. It's definitely a product I only need to use once a week as instructed, but given that it only takes a minute of your time, if your hair is more damaged than mine is, I could see trying it out every five days or so.
