According to the study conducted by the researchers at Multilotto, a gambling startup, almost 44 per cent employees in the United Kingdom believe they can do a better job than their boss. Interestingly, such employees were mostly unhappy, dissatisfied and hardly enjoyed job satisfaction. The researchers surveyed around 2,000 employees and evaluated what the participants felt about the performance of their boss or supervisor.

Surprisingly, most employees who believed they can outperform their superior also stated that they would still support their boss during a conflict or crisis. This spoke volumes about their loyalty—no matter how dissatisfied the employees were, they would never go against their manager or superior during an hour of crisis.

It didn’t come as a surprise when more than 25 per cent participants stated they felt some amount of resentment towards their boss that they harboured for years. Also, 10 per cent of participants admitted to having intentionally infuriated their boss to the point of making him or her lash out at employees.

Out of the 2,000 employees who took part in the survey, one-third stated that they had quit a job in the past because of their boss.
