Wednesday open thread: What would it take for you to give up your Lions fandom?

How much is too much?

Detroit Lions v Buffalo Bills

Today’s question is pretty straightforward. How much would it take you to quit on the Lions? I know a lot of you are going to say, “Oh, one more loss and I’m done,” or something of that nature, but be honest. I mean what would it take for you to put your foot down, start using your Sundays for house chores and spa time, and abandon your fandom of the Detroit Lions to the fullest extent. As in, three years go by and someone starts talking about Matt Mariota and you go “who’s that?” and they go “you mean the Lions quarterback?”

Question of the day: What would it take for you to quit your Lions fandom?

My answer: I couldn’t. I mean, either this team is good or I tell myself there’s nowhere to go but up. Honestly, this team could go 0-16 and I’d intoxicate myself on the hope of the No. 1 draft pick and the fact that they, inevitably, will be better the next year.

Someone help me.

Your turn.
