Optical illusion makeup on Instagram is nothing new nowadays, and yet, it never fails to impress us nonetheless. Most recently, a makeup artist by the name of Juliana Horner blew people's minds with a look she created that features realistic-looking crystals scattered around her eye. At first glance, the crystals look completely real, but once you take a closer look, you can see that they've actually been intricately painted on with different shades of liquid eyeliner. Talk about talent, folks.

Horner, who currently boasts 177,000 followers on Instagram, is all about fantasy makeup and mastering looks that make people do a double-take. This look is obviously no exception. Fans — ourselves included, of course — are enamored with the feathered winged eyeliner and accompanying faux crystals, which add the prettiest sparkly effect to the eyes.

Take a quick scroll through the comments and you'll see just how many folks have been freaking out over this look. There are messages like, "WHAT U DREW THEM I LOOKED AT THIS FOR SO LONG NOT REALIZING," "WHAAAT?! ARE THOSE DRAWN ON?! 🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯," and "Literally thought those were glued on gems 😭😍."

We can only imagine the time and effort it took to draw each and every crystal, so we applaud Horner on her patience. It's also worth pointing out how perfect her eyeliner is — and she did four separate wings. No big deal.
