Ask POD: All-Star college week

The All-Star college games are coming, and a big week for the Detroit Lions is ahead.

This weekend, four teams are preparing for their biggest game of the season. Just 60 minutes of game time is between them and a Super Bowl appearance, and for everyone that isn’t the Green Bay Packers, that means there’s a chance they win a Championship for the first time in over 20 years.

The Detroit Lions aren’t one of those teams, but this upcoming week is drastically important for them, too. Saturday is the East-West Shrine Bowl, the first all-star game among college players headed towards the pros, but the main event—the Senior Bowl—is where things get serious for the Lions.

While their coaching staff is still somewhat of a mystery, Detroit will be down in Mobile running the North Senior Bowl team, watching each players’ every move while seeing how they react to their coaching style. This opportunity can’t be squandered for a team that needs to nail the upcoming draft.

So to preview the upcoming week of events, the PODcast is going to focus on the Senior Bowl. And to help us do that, we need your questions. They don’t all have to be Senior Bowl related—in fact, we’ll have most of that covered in the first couple segments—but feel free to throw in any question you’d like for our third segment: our mailbag. Questions can vary from free agency, to predictions, to the draft, to favorite winter activities. In other words, everything is on the table—whether it’s related to the Lions or not.

Submit your questions in the comment section below or via Twitter using the hashtag #AskPOD. We’ll also take your questions for our weekly mailbag article, which typically drops early in the week.
