The scuffling Detroit Pistons face the Atlanta Hawks, who just recently crawled out of the literal bottom of the NBA standings and are on a two-game winning streak. That includes beating the Spurs in San Antonio for the first time since 1997. Seriously.
The Hawks are also the team who were allegedly recently engaged with the Pistons on a trade centered around Andre Drummond. Those talks seem to have broken off, though, with the Hawks unwilling to give anything of value for a player who could be a free agent in the offseason.
Expect a lot of talk about a potential Hawks and Drummond connection in the offseason, where reports indicate that Drummond will be high on Atlanta’s free agency wish list.
On Detroit’s end, well, it’s all Sekou all the time. What else do we have? The Pistons are coming off a surprise win against the Boston Celtics where the team shot 60% and Sekou led Detroit with a career-high 24 points. More of that, please.
